NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Blanche O’Delle McIntosh Anders, 86, of Natchez, who departed this life Friday, June 1, 2012, at her residence, will be 3 p.m. today at Jefferson Street United Methodist Church.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. today until time of services at the church.
Mrs. Anders was born Dec. 21, 1925, in Hazlehurst, the daughter of Henry G. and Lelia McIntosh. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Odell Anders; one granddaughter, Melissa Ashleigh Ferrington; one sister, Monteil Richardson; and two brothers, Henry G. McIntosh Jr. and Edwin McIntosh.
Survivors include two daughters, Pam Anders Ferrington and Lisa Anders Allain, both of Natchez; two grandsons, Anders Ferrington and wife, Mandy, of Jackson, and Alex Allain of New Orleans; and two sisters, Janet Moreton, of Brookhaven, and Clairce Izard and husband, Frank, of Birmingham.
Pallbearers will be Willie Mayberry, Larry Moreton, Edward Bourdin, Selton Bourdin, Johnny Byrne and Chuck Mayfield.
Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Gillon, C.B. Craft and Fred Parker.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to her devoted caregivers, Dorothy Smith, Trenia Gooden, Alice Donaldson, Aline Watkins, Joanne Williams and Mattie Arbuthnot.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jefferson Street United Methodist Church, the Alzheimers Association of Mississippi, Trinity Episcopal Day School or the charity of one’s choice.
