LORMAN &045; The Grambling Tigers brought out the big sticks against the Alcorn Tuesday, as the G-men jumped out to a 14-1 lead in the fourth en route to a 17-7 triumph.

Freshman pitcher Chris Walker got abused in just two and one-third innings of work as he allowed six runs &045; five earned &045; on seven hits.

After getting rattled in the first with help from an error, which moved the first run into scoring position, Walker got off to a shaky start in the second permitting a double down the left field line by Anthony Johnson, who scored a batter later as Eldred Hunter followed suit with a double.

Hunter got greedy, however, as he tried for three and was thrown out at the bag.

In the fourth with Greg White on the mound, 12 Tigers came to the plate as Grambling registered eight runs on five hits and two errors.
