Centreville baseball wins state title

HOLLY SPRING — The Centreville Academy baseball team won its second consecutive state championship Friday, defeating Marshall Academy 4-0 in Game 2 of the MAIS Class AA state championship series.
Centreville starter Cliff Hurst got the win, going seven innings and giving up just two hits and one walk.
Hurst also had a solo home run and went 2-for-2. Randy Bell was 2-for-4, and Hunter Devall finished with a double.
The Tigers finished the season with a 27-5 record.
