NATCHEZ — Those with an appetite for a good cause can pick up a chicken dinner today at Parkway Baptist Church.

In exchange for a half chicken, potato salad, baked beans, a roll and cake, residents can spend $8 to help fund heart surgery for fifth-grade Adams County Christian School student Austin Dungan.

Dungan was born with truncus arteriosus, a congenital heart disease, and will require a fourth heart surgery this summer. The funds raised today will help the Dungan family pay for insurance and travel costs for the surgery at Children’s Hospital in Boston.

The meals will be sold from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Parkway Baptist Church. Call Jennifer Dungan at 601-870-2380 to reserve a meal.
