Shavondra Johnson, daughter of Sharron Ridley and Larry Johnson Sr. of Natchez, and Jonathan Smalley Sr., son of Tamra Conner and John Smalley of Chicago, announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Natchez High School and a graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Natchez. She is employed by Adams County Correctional Center as an administrative clerk.

She is the granddaughter of Shirley Jackson and the late Aubrey Jackson and the late Alex and Elver Reynolds, all of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is also a graduate of Natchez High School and is employed by Cable One as a Direct sales representative in Natchez.

He is the grandson of Helen Jones and the late George Jones and the late John and Martha Smalley, all of Chicago.

The wedding will be at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2012, on the beach at Fort Walton Beach, Fla.

A reception will follow at the Magnolia Grill in Florida.
