VIDALIA, La. &045; Shawna Lindley, who was seriously injured in a Carter Street wreck early Friday morning, is still in a Jackson hospital.
Lindley, of Meridian, was the driver of a small Toyota that collided with an 18-wheeler in front of the Fish Fry around 12:30 a.m. Friday. The passenger in the car, Paul Hines Jr., of Forrest was killed in the accident.
Vidalia Police Captain Frank Webb said two investigators from the state Highway Patrol Troop E are coming down on Friday to reconstruct the scene of the accident.
Webb said speed was a factor in the accident and said he hopes the reconstruction will show how fast Lindley was traveling. VPD is still investigating the incident.
The driver of the 18-wheeler, Trey Adams of Gloster, was not seriously injured.
Lindley had multiple broken bones and injuries, Webb said. Investigators have been unable to talk with her due to her condition.
