FAYETTE — Services for Marie Doss Sartin, 49, of Vicksburg, who died Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Jefferson County Nursing Center in Fayette, will be at noon Saturday at Greater Faith Worship Center in Fayette.

Burial will follow at Locust Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Sartin was born Oct. 13, 1922, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Alex “Buster” Doss Sr. and Olivia Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Andrew Green, James McNair and Lethel Thompson; and four brothers, Alex Doss Jr., Percy Doss, D.L. Johnson and Jessie Johnson.

Survivors include one daughter, Lucille Fells of Fayette; four sisters, Susie Butler, Clara J. Rush, Florence Stimmage and Verlina Doss, all of Vicksburg; one brother, Willie Doss of Vicksburg; two daughter-in-laws, Fannie McNair and Helen Thompson, both of Vicksburg; 17 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
