NATCHEZ — Services for Emma Clark Shelby, 92, of Natchez, who died Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Sibley with the Rev. Douglas Logan officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Shelby was born Sept. 19, 1919, in Adams County, the daughter of Walter Clark Sr. and Rachel Hargrave Clark. She was retired from Richmond Brothers Department Store in Detroit as a sales clerk. She was a hospital volunteer before returning to Natchez.

Mrs. Shelby was also a member of the Queen of Sheba Grand Chapter Order of Eastern Star in Detroit. She was Baptist.

Mrs. Shelby was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Leonidas Shelby.

Survivors include one son, Walter “Sonny” Green and wife, Martha Ann, of Natchez; 10 grandchildren, James Lewis, Flora Burns, Walter Lewis, Victoria Bassett and husband, Daryl, Shewanda Watkins and husband, Kenneth, Clarence Green and wife, Ametra, Tyrone Lewis, Johnella Lyles and husband, William, all of Natchez, Lawrence Green and wife, Mona, of Montgomery, Ala., and Jessie Davis of Woodville; 24 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Julia Harvey of Detroit, Roxie Clark of Natchez, Lottie Mar Clark of Sibley and Josephine Mason of Chicago; and special caregiver, Margie Clark.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
