Kristy Smith and Rusty Wagoner announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-to-be is employed by Plantation Oaks Nursing Center in Wisner, La.

She is the daughter of Wayne and Carla Sowell and the granddaughter of James Corley, all of Jena, La., and the late Cornelia Corley and R.V. Zeagler.

The groom-to-be is employed by Monroe City Fire Department and owner/operator of Delta Seamless Gutter.

He is the son of Russell and Angela Wagoner of Vidalia, the grandson of Roy and Ivie Wagoner of Ferriday and the late Fred Galloway in Winnsboro, La.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m., Friday, May 11, 2012, at Cozy Corner Plantation, home of the groom’s parents, in Vidalia.
