NATCHEZ — Mary L. McKinlay, 88, of Natchez, died Friday, April 26, 2012, at Natchez Regional Medical Center.
Services will be at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Vidalia at a later date.
She will find peace at her final resting place in Hollywood, Fla., at Fred Hunter Memorial Gardens next to her beloved husband, Robert C. McKinlay, who preceded her in death 13 years ago.
Mrs. McKinlay was born Aug. 4, 1923, in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Florence Wheeler Warren and William David Warren. She was a member of First Evangelical Methodist Church in Natchez and a lifetime member of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. McKinlay worked for a number of years in the dental field as a dental assistant and provided love and care to all of her patients.
Survivors include three children, Bob McKinlay of Sebastian, Fla., John McKinlay of Williamsburg, Va., and Penny Sewell of Vidalia; two daughters-in-law, Pam Muse and Judy McKinlay; one son-in-law, Craig Sewell; three grandchildren, Jesse Sewell, Joseph McKinlay and Ryan Foster; two sisters, Helen Hosker of Dearborn, Mich., and Gladys Anning of Kissimmee, Fla.; and a number of nieces, nephews and a special caregiver, Margie Hoggatt.
She will be missed by all of her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in her memory to the Barry University Yucatan Crippled Children’s Project, Miami Shore, FL or the Natchez Stew Pot.
