NATCHEZ — Services for Kenric Kemon Evans, 36, of Natchez, who died Thursday, April 19, 2012, at University Medical Center in Jackson, will be at noon Saturday at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Sibley with the Rev. Douglas Logan officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Evans was born Oct. 16, 1975, in Natchez, the son of Walter Lee Green and Linda Evans Jackson.
He was employed by Ingram Barge as a second man. He enjoyed fishing.
Kenric was Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his mother; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Evans and Allen Jones Sr.; one uncle, Leahman “Nee-Nee” Evans; and one nephew, RyKeem Green.
Survivors include one daughter, Lyniyah Evans; one son, Kemonte Evans, both of Natchez; three sisters, Kandice Riggs and husband, Anthony, Oriana Brown, all of Natchez, and Usleur Cook and husband, Henry, of Riviera Beach, Fla.; three brothers, Kraig Jackson of Virginia Beach, Va., Kyren Jackson and Devarlos King, both of Natchez; grandmother, Beatrice Jones of Sibley; five aunts, Dorothy Evans Matthews, Gladys Rounds and husband, Lee, and Lori Williams and husband, Jesse, all of Natchez; eight uncles, Williams Evans of Atlanta, Darlin Evans and R. Wayne Evans, both of San Antonio, Texas, Anthony Evans of Natchez, Charles Evans of Magnolia, Robert Evans Jr. and wife, Joy, of Fort Worth, Donald Jones and wife, Bernice, of New Orleans and Allen Jones Jr. of Germany; one nephew, Anthony Riggs Jr.; two nieces, Khalin Green and DeAsia King, all of Natchez; a devoted friend, Deatice Hayes; the LaGrange community; and a number of relatives and friends.
