NATCHEZ — Services for Mary Edna Jones, 90, of Biloxi, formerly of Natchez, who died Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Biloxi Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. today at Westminster Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Richard Wood officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the church.

Mrs. Jones was born Jan. 21, 1922, in Natchez, the daughter of Henry Doherty and Lillian Burns Doherty. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, a life member of the National Bowling Association, a member of the Natchez Civitan Club, the Birthday Girls, the Red Hat Society and the Auburn Garden Club. She loved to crochet.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Jones; one sister, Betty Doherty Willis; and one brother, Henry Charles Doherty.

Survivors include two daughters, Lil McCollum and husband, Doc, of Biloxi and Lynn Lindsay and husband, Goose, of Gulfport; four grandchildren, Tere Rodriguez and husband, Dan, of Billings, Mont., Shere Anderson and husband, Mike, of Carthage, Tenn., Tracy Riemann and husband, Kris, and Vicky Deakle and husband, Casey, all of Gulfport; eight great-grandchildren, Will Loomis and wife, Shauntel, of Las Vegas, Justin Strickland and wife, Sara, of Fayetteville, N.C., Sierra and Daniel Rodriguez of Billings, Causey Anderson of Carthage, Lindsay Cooper, Anna Grace Deakle, Sydney Riemann and Alexandra Riemann, all of Gulfport.

Pallbearers will be Justin Strickland, Daniel Rodriguez, Mike Anderson, Newt Willis, Tim Doherty and Bob Moulds.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Humane Society of your choice.
