Brown is leader Natchez needs

As a former resident who keeps up with what is happening in Natchez through The Democrat, I wanted to let you know how encouraged I am that you have a top-notch economic developer in Chandler Russ and an opportunity to elect a mayor that will mean more business and jobs in Butch Brown.
Running a successful movie studio might seem like a dream job, but I know that I’m not alone in hoping that I can one day return home and live and work in one of the most unique places on Earth.
Several of the Californians that I have sent there on weekend trips have told me Natchez is “one of the world’s best kept secrets,” but that it seems to suffer from a “lack of leadership.”
In my opinion, Butch Brown is a proven leader who offers the best chance for Natchez to capitalize on its assets, create new opportunities, and get the word out.
If Butch is elected, I think you will see more films shooting in the area, more conventions booking hotel rooms and more out-of-state brides choosing to get married there.
In fact, a lot of people I have spoken with believe Natchez is on the verge of becoming one of the great destination wedding capitals of the world.
It will take someone with serious business sense who “gets it” to attract more outside investment and get more outsiders spending money with local businesses.
I believe that someone is Butch Brown.
