NATCHEZ — Donnie Holloway announced recently his candidacy for re-election to the office of City Clerk of Natchez in the upcoming May Democratic Primary.
Holloway is currently serving his third term as the city clerk for Natchez, having been elected to that position in 2000, re-elected in 2004 and 2008.
In announcing his decision to run again for this position, Holloway said his “management of the city finances in a sensible and responsible manner has given our office an excellent reputation throughout the state. I appreciate the trust and confidence placed in me since my election as your city clerk.”
Holloway stressed that his 12 years of municipal experience together with more than 30 years of business experience in the fields of banking, finance, insurance, oil and gas and retail business has given him the knowledge, qualifications and wherewithal to continue serving in this crucial position.
“I implore the people of Natchez to validate my reputation, in public office, to confirm my standing for integrity, reliability and accountability as a public servant,” Holloway said.
“I humbly ask that you, your friends and neighbors join in my endeavor to continue responsible management of public finances by casting your vote for Donnie Holloway on Tuesday, May 1.”
Donnie is married to the former Agnes Rodriguez, and they are the parents of David, Erin and Jamie, and the grandparents of six.
