Alcorn narrows coaching search down

LORMAN — Alcorn State University named four finalists for its football head coaching vacancy Friday.
Michael Armour, Fredrick Farrier, James Hopson and Todd McDaniel will be on campus Monday for interviews with university groups, including faculty and staff, students, administrators and the community, according to an Alcorn press release.
Armour is currently the offensive coordinator at the University of Northern Colorado, and he was a part of the Braves staff from 2008 through early 2011.
Hopson is defensive coordinator at the University of Memphis, and Farrier is currently employed with the State of Kentucky in the Office of Employment and training. Farrier served as head coach at Kentucky State from 2005-09.
McDaniel currently serves as coordinator of football operations at Alcorn, and was defensive line coach for the Braves last season.
Alcorn will announce a hire next Saturday following the team’s spring game.
