FERRIDAY — Services for Richard Lee McClung, 82, of Waterproof, who died Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Camelot Leisure Living in Ferriday, will be at 2 p.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Rev. Mark Richardson officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Mr. McClung was born Aug. 3, 1929, in Paducah, Texas, the son of Monroe Ural McClung and Mabel McClung. He was retired from D&D Drilling Company as a drilling superintendent with more than 26 years of service and was an active member of Lakeshore Baptist Church.

Mr. McClung was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Barbara Anne McClung; three brothers, John L. McClung, Monroe Ural McClung Jr. and Fred W. McClung; three sisters, Dorothy Pevy, Louise James and Faye Timms; and one daughter-in-law, Dianna McClung.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Hazel McClung; one son, Rick McClung of Waterproof; one daughter, Lynn Case and husband, Kenneth, of Vidalia; one brother, Jerry L. McClung and wife, Janice, of Belton, Texas; four grandchildren, Ty Case and wife, Courtney, Tana Powell and husband, Robby, Brandi Butler and Chance McClung; five great-grandsons, Braden Bailey, Brendon Butler, Bryce Butler, Landry Case and Austin Case; one brother-in-law, L.C. Craft of Waterproof; one sister-in-law, Maylene Hobbs of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jess Horton, Dee Horton, Kippy Blaney, Dennis Nicholes “Peanut” Sellers and Mark Taunton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Daye, Don Horton, Charlie Blaney, Gene Dauphin, Paul Marshbanks and R.T. Stockman.
