Monday was the first time Kristopher Snyder, 7, ever rode a horse and he wasn’t so sure he liked it.

Snyder and Jones, of Norristown, Penn., bobbed along echoing nervous giggles as their cousin, Frances Duncan, of Natchez, guided his horse.

The trio was just a few of the many family members who had gathered there from all areas of the country this weekend to celebrate the 90th birthday of the family matriarch, Edith Snyder.

After a while, it was time for the children’s father, Karl Snyder, to see if he could still ride like he did before moving his family to the Pennsylvania city.

&uot;It was great,&uot; Jones said of her ride as she watched her father gallop across the pasture.
