WESSON — Playing two positions at once might seem impossible, but that’s exactly what Keosha Bradley did for Copiah-Lincoln Community College this past season.

The former Natchez High School standout led the Lady Wolfpack in scoring with 16.5 points per game playing both point guard and shooting guard. Bradley also led the team in assists with 3.3 a game and steals with 2.7 per game.

Bradley was selected to play for the South Division in the MACJC All-Star game, which the North squad won 91-76 on March 27. Bradley was also named NJCAA All-Region 23 and MACJC South Division first team All-State.

Bradley said it felt good being selected to play in the All-Star game and being chosen for postseason honors.

“I makes me feel like I worked hard and did everything I was asked,” Bradley said.

Co-Lin women’s head coach Gwyn Young said Bradley, primarily a point guard, was also asked to play shooting guard because of her offensive skillset.

“She played the one and two because she was shooting the ball well,” Young said. “She was the only returning starter on the team, and she did a really good job being a leader. She took over a lot of the offensive scoring from the guard position.”

Bradley said it was hard to play both positions, but she did it because she felt it was best for the team.

“We really didn’t have a shooting guard, so I had to do both,” Bradley said. “It was difficult, but I was comfortable with it, because my team was depending on me. I just had to make some things happen.”

The Lady Wolfpack finished the season 9-14, getting eliminated by Itawamba Community College in the state tournament.

“We had a great year,” Bradley said. “We had some ups and downs, but we fought through it. Everyone got along. We fell apart one time, but we came back together and made it to the state tournament.”

Bradley said she especially liked being able to play for Young for two seasons.

“I really enjoyed Co-Lin, and I really like Coach Young,” Bradley said. “He was like a father to us. Anything we needed, he was there. He’s a really good coach, and I’m really going to miss him.”

Young said Bradley exceeded his expectations in his two years of coaching her.

“She’s such a strong point guard that you didn’t notice her handling the ball against hard pressure,” Young said. “Because she’s so strong, she may not blow by you, but she can manhandle you. She can keep you off her and get you into your offense.”

Bradley, a sophomore, said she was still contemplating what school she will attend in the fall.
