William Junkin Bellan Sr.

NATCHEZ — Services for William Junkin Bellan Sr., 84, of Natchez, who died Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Crown Health and Rehab in Natchez, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Basilica with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today and at 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at St. Mary Basilica.
Bellan was born July 25, 1927, in Vicksburg, the son of John Alexander Bellan and Mary Genevieve Junkin Bellan. Bellan was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was an active member of St. Mary Basilica, where he served as lector at daily mass. He was a lifelong member of the Knights of Coumbus. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather, who enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Rose Eidt Bellan; three sons, William Junkin Bellan Jr. and wife, Sherry, of Northport, Ala., Michael Paul Bellan and wife, Geri, of Mandeville, La., and Lawrence Adrian Bellan and wife, Susan, of Baton Rouge; one daughter, Ann Bellan-Mann and husband, Roy, of Seattle; 13 grandchildren, Brian W. Bellan, Matthew Bellan, Mary Rose Bellan, Timothy Bellan, Anthony Bellan, Jeana Bellan, Phillip Bellan, Wesley Bellan, Mitchell Bellan, Joshua Bellan, Emma Grace Bellan, Jacob Mann and Maria Rose Mann; one brother, John A. Bellan Jr. and wife, Joann, of Jackson; two sisters, Mary B. Eidt and husband, Edward, of Natchez; and Angela Bellan of Sun City West, Ariz.; and 23 nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Bellan, Brian Bellan, Anthony Bellan, Phillip Bellan, Wesley Bellan, Jacob Bellan Mann and Matthew Bellan.
