February ends in a rush of news

Hello March. We hope you bring dry skies, sunny days and warmer temperatures along with you.
But before we bid a final farewell to February, we do need to acknowledge the good news of the month’s final week.
And what a busy week it was.
The Natchez Literary and Cinema Celebration filled much of the week with great speakers and great events. So many free events make this conference one of our favorites, and we hope you took advantage.
4Natchez Community Hospital honored five local women for their outstanding contributions to the community. Congratulations and thank you to the winners: Debbie Hudson, Renee Ballard, Barbara Ann Mingee, Tommie Jones and Rachel Holloway.
Tazman Stampley, 13, is getting an earlier-than-normal start on his Eagle Scout project, and we think that’s great. The teen is building a prayer garden at his church. It’s a great idea and a great cause, Tazman.
St. Mary Catholic Church released drawings of their plans for a family life center building on Main Street. The plans look great, and we think the addition to downtown will not only be great for the church, but for the entire community.
Adams County Christian School’s dance team is headed to the National Dance Alliance’s Nationals in Florida. These girls have worked hard to earn the right to compete, and we wish them luck.
Now on to March and yet another great month.
