CROSBY — Services for Johnny “Jig” Dickens, 83, of Crosby, who died Monday, March 19, 2012, at Promise Hospital of Miss-Lou in Vidalia, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Crosby Union Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Dickens was born Feb. 27, 1929, in Amite County, the son of Bill and Mary Dickens.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Myrtis Rogers and Edna Mae Rogers; and two brothers, Curtis Dickens and David “Bubba” Dickens.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary A. Dickens, Annette Sims and Doretha Smith and husband, Will, all of Crosby; one son, Bobby J. Huff of Hattiesburg; eight grandchildren, Sheryl Washington and husband, Dexter, of Canton, Jerrilynn Owens of Crosby, Veronica Sims and Kevin Smith, both of Gloster, Darlene Anderson and Charlene Cooper and husband, Tashon, all of Lafayette, La.; 19 great-grandchildren; and one special nephew, Lee Dell Rodgers Jr. of Crosby.
