Ferriday man dies in Okla. auto accident

Ingersoll, Okla. — A Ferriday man died early Tuesday morning in a traffic accident in Oklahoma.

The Oklahoman reports that Joshua Lee Phillips, 27, of Ferriday, died after the pickup he was driving collided with a tractor-trailer on U.S. 64.

The accident happened at approximately 12:55 a.m.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was reportedly not hurt.

Both drivers involved in the accident were wearing seatbelts, according to reports.

Funeral services for Phillips will be 10 a.m. Friday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
