FERRIDAY — Services for Joshua Lee Phillips, 27, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, March 20, 2012, in Cherokee, Okla., will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Pineville, La., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Joshua was born Dec. 28, 1984, in Natchez, the son of Howard Phillips and Mary Ann Phillips. He was employed as a rough-neck in the oil field in Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his mother and paternal grandmother, Audrey Sanford.

Survivors include his father and his father’s wife, Suson Hauer, of Ferriday; one son, Chandler Phillips of Natchez; one brother, Vandy Johnston; one half-sister, Chelsea Alaniz and husband, Andy, of Texas; one stepsister, Dani Carter of Vidalia; paternal grandparents, Danny and Jean Phillips of Ferriday; and maternal grandparents, Stan and Fran Barnette of Centreville.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Murray, Mike Phillips, Robin Phillips, Mark Phillips, Johnny Donald, Jaime Cobb and George Benson.
