City response
City officials say the county curfew is not in effect in city limits, but city officials did urge residents in trailers or mobile homes to move to sturdier shelters.
The city will open the Natchez Convention Center at 7 a.m. for local residents. Volunteers – skilled and unskilled – are asked to call the EOC at 601-442-7021 for information about helping at the shelter.
School closings
Copiah-Lincoln Community College has cancelled daytime classes for Monday. School officials will decide at 2 p.m. Monday whether to cancel evening classes.
Other closings
Isle of Capri has not decided whether to close Monday but will make a decision later today.
