What a wonderful snake-free Monday it is.

Thanks to the Krewe of Killarney and this year’s St. Patrick, Pat McDonough, Natchez has once again been rid of snakes through an annual tradition on the bluff.

With the light winter and early spring, we hope McDonough did it right.

The St. Patrick’s Day parade wrapped up a great week, but there were “green” spots before that as well.

Let’s review:

-Construction on the buildings in a new Vidalia municipal complex is complete and move-in day arrived. The city expected to open up shop this morning in their new home.

-Volunteers from Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y., Boston University and Agnes Scott College in Atlanta and the Roving Volunteers in Christ’s Service spent time in Natchez last week volunteering at several non-profits. We thank these groups for their service to our community. Come back anytime!

-Students at Vidalia High School raised $2,433.88 in a fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Students, especially one class of seniors, truly rallied around the cause, and now their money will go a long way to help others.
