Parish to give away supplies at several spots

VIDALIA &045;&045; Evacuees in need of supplies have several places to go in Concordia Parish.
First Baptist Church, Ferriday Pastor Wayne Gray said his church will have food and other supplies for evacuees to pick up Saturday at the church.
&uot;These people are going to start getting their money Monday,&uot; Gray said. &uot;I want to make sure they have a place to get what they need this weekend.&uot;
Gray said he has had several truckloads of private donations come to his church in recent days including some supplies he got from Baton Rouge with help from Delaney Trucking in Natchez.
The old seventh-grade school in
Ferriday will also be open Saturday for evacuees to pick up supplies including some of the 20,000 MREs the Red Cross has provided.
The Storefront Mission in Ferriday will be open Saturday for any evacuees needing clothes.
In Vidalia, the Riverview RV Park also has supplies for evacuees.
