NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Wood Hines, 73, of Natchez, who died Friday, March 9, 2012, at her residence, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Union Bapist Church on White Apple Road in Roxie with the Rev. Andy McDaniel officiating.

Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery in Meadville under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest beside her son, Jimmy Baldwin.

Visitation will be noon until time of services Monday.

Mrs. Hines was born Jan. 17, 1939, in Louisiana, the daughter of James N. Wood and Thelma Marie Tiffee. Frances was a member of Union Baptist Church, where she took part in all church activities. She retired from Johns Manville, where she worked as a trim saw operator, to take care of her mother and help raise her grandchildren. She lived her live with love of God, family, joy and laughter. She never met a stranger and loved all, especially her children and grandchildren. Frances went to be with her Savior from her earthly home Friday, March 9, 2012 — “go rest on that high mountain.”

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Jimmy Baldwin.

Survivors include one daughter, Julie Baldwin Gordon, her husband, Jim, and their son, Ken Britt; grandchildren Casey France, Barry LaPrarie Jr., Anna Marie LaPrarie, Isaac Baldwin and Jacob Baldwin; Aunt Melanie Tiffee White and Uncle Harold White; Aunts Ruth Tiffee Jordan and Berniece Mascagni Tiffee; close friend, Pam White, and a number of cousins, other relatives and friends.
