Justice court needs more space in courtroom

The Adams County Justice Court is in a great need of more space in the courtroom. It is just too congested.
This issue needs to be surrounded rhetorically.
This courtroom consists of a judge, a bailiff, county, district and representing attorneys, a stenographer, several other law enforcement officers, inmates, witnesses and people who have cases at court time.
The judge’s bench is much too close to the district attorney’s desks and too close to inmates as well. The district attorney’s seating area almost bumps the knees of the people in waiting for their cases. The bailiff’s seating area looks stored like a cornered cage.
Something needs to be done immediately. It is just too congested, and we can see it is because of a lack of space.
I’ve heard many citizens complaining about this issue.
Some people who have a case in the courtroom cannot find enough seating. Some will sit on the staircase, others on the front porch of the court. All of this is due to a lack of space and causes contempt of court charges because people are not in the courtroom when their names are called.
Hopefully someone will take this issue into consideration and find adequate space, which is very much needed to open or extend the courtroom.
This is a proposal that needs to be taken into consideration as soon as possible.
Remember, courtroom brawls can occur, and we don’t want it to happen in Natchez as it has happened before in other cities.
