May, Enterprise run over Green Wave defense for 48-27 victory

BROOKHAVEN &045; Terrell May ran right through Cathedral’s defense at will and finished with 381 yards and six touchdowns to lead the Enterprise Yellow Jackets past the Cathedral Green Wave 48-27 Friday night in a Region 4-1A game.
After Cathedral (2-4, 1-4) got a 27-yard touchdown pass from Patrick McDonough to Daniel Culbert for a 7-0 lead with 4:59 to go in the first quarter, May helped Enterprise (4-2, 4-1) score 28 straight points between the first and third quarters.
May had scoring runs of 72 and 41 in the first quarter that gave the Yellow Jackets the lead for good, a 12-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and a 52-yard touchdown run with 2:26 remaining in the third quarter.
The Green Wave scored with 1 second left in the third quarter on a 9-yard touchdown pass from McDonough to Daniel Hollowell.
May then scored on touchdown runs of 54 and 72 yards of a wild fourth quarter that saw both teams score a combined five touchdowns in a span of five minutes and 11 seconds.
Hollowell scored on runs of 31 and 1 yards for the Green Wave, but it was not enough.

YAZOO CITY &045; The Panthers improved to 3-4 overall and 3-1 in Region 6-3A while the Tigers (4-3, 2-1) suffered their first loss in region play. No other information was available as of press time.
