ALEXANDRIA, La. — Hailey Teal and Kelsi Dobeins each hit home runs in the bottom of the third inning as the Grace Christian Lady Warriors defeated the Monterey Lady Wolves 8-2 Tuesday night in LHSAA District 4-B action.

Teal hit a two-run home run and Dobeins added a solo shot as Grace Christian scored four runs in the bottom of the third to take an 8-0 lead over Monterey. The Lady Warriors also scored four runs in the bottom of the second.

That was more than enough run support for winning pitcher Tori Edwards, who held Monterey to just two runs on six hits. The Lady Wolves didn’t score their first run of the game until the top of the fifth. They scored their other run in the top of the sixth.
