NATCHEZ &8212; Despite a first half that could only be called awful, Trinity almost came back to win this game before falling 33-32 to Tensas Academy.
And Lady Saints head coach Melanie Hall can take some solace in that.
&8220;I&8217;m proud of the heart and effort the girls showed to come back. That game was lost in the first quarter and a half,&8221; Hall said.
Trinity didn&8217;t score at all in the first quarter and trailed 15-8 at halftime as the Lady Saints dug themselves a sizeable hole. But then something happened. In the fourth quarter, Trinity started clicking on offense, Hall said.
&8220;It was just two halves,&8221; Hall said. &8220;We go from the ball not going in the hole to everyone clicking.&8221;
Trinity outscored Tensas 19-11 in the final period, ending up just one point short of tying the game and sending it into overtime.
&8220;Tensas is a good team and I know we&8217;ll see them again this year,&8221; Hall said. &8220;I know that will be a good game when that happens.&8221;

The Lady Rebels didn&8217;t play their best game, but they won.
&8220;I&8217;d say they played a good game, but that&8217;s not true. They played as good as they had to,&8221; ACCS head coach John Gray said.
The Lady Rebels had 24 turnovers and shot just 30 percent from the field in the game, but managed to take a 21-10 halftime lead.
Adams Christian led by as many as 15 points in the game before Oak Forest made it a close in the fourth quarter, going on a 12-4 run to close out the game.
&8220;We played the same we played last night,&8221; Gray said. &8220;We play good for a while and then bad.
&8220;We have some bad game in us right now, but it&8217;s all of them. They all play good and they all play bad, so I told them at least they&8217;re together.&8221;
