Thursday, Feb. 16:
Barontina Dorsey was sentenced to one year probation for burglary of a vehicle in Judge Lillie Blackmon Sanders’ court on April 14, 2011. Defendant has successfully completed said probation and the charge is dismissed in Judge Sanders’ court on Feb. 15, 2012.
Crystal Dennis Surrena was sentenced to three years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections suspended and placed on post-release supervision for three years for credit card us with intent to defraud in Sanders’ court on Aug. 3, 2011. Defendant has complied with all the requirements while on probation is placed on a non-reporting status with a waiver of supervision fees in Judge Sanders’ court on Feb. 14, 2012, while all other conditions of the probation remain the same.
Natchez Municipal Court Cases — End Results
Friday, Feb. 24:
Lonnie E. Johnson Jr., 36, pleaded guilty to three counts of misdemeanor false pretense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior on each count to run concurrently. Total fine set at $1,213.39.
Joseph Jackson, 41, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 23 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Seven days served. Fine set at $369.
James Williams, 21, pleaded guilty to trespassing. Sentenced to 10 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from Tara Apartments. Fine set at $294.
Tyron Jones, 43, pleaded guilty to public drunkenness. Sentenced to 10 days with three days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Seven days in jail served. Fine set at $294.
Calvin Blake, 19, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 28 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 48 hours in jail. Fine set at $444.
Justin Graves, 24, pleaded guilty to resisting arrest. Show satisfied time served when Hattiesburg picks up. Fine set at $494.
Monday, Feb. 27:
Jennifer Williams Lyles, 33, charged with violating the city’s noise ordinance. Case dismissed — officer failed to appear.
Taraus Granger pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace of a business. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for two year pending good behavior. Banned from Belk. Total fine set at $344.
Tuesday, Feb. 28:
Ebony Edwards, 26, charged with shoplifting — over $500 (felony). Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury. Out on bond.
Jeromy D. Stewart, 30, pleaded guilty to amended charge of simple assault — domestic violence. Sentenced to 100 days with 45 days suspended for two years pending good behavior. Fifty-five days served. No bond set at this time.
Joseph M. Smith, 24, charged with armed robbery. Case dismissed — no probable cause as to acting in concert.
James Martin, 25, charged with three counts of armed robbery. Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury. Bond reduced from $85,000 to $70,000 on each count.
John Stephen Dillard, 27, charged with felony malicious mischief. Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury. Bond set at $8,250.
Jamauri McNealy, 16, charged with armed robbery. Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury. Bond reduced from $85,000 to $70,000.
Derrick Green, 17, charged with armed robbery. Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury. Bond reduced from $85,000 to $70,000.
Brandon Colenburg, 19, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor simple assault by fear. Bond set at $12,000.
Wednesday, Feb. 29:
Jason Brenton Gore, 37, charged with running a red light. Case dismissed on motion of attorney — officer failed to appear on served subpoena. Refund cash bond of $903. Gore was also charged with DUI first offense test refusal. Case dismissed on motion of attorney — officer failed to appear on served subpoena. Refund cash bond.
Samuel Coley Jr., 76, charged with DUI first offense no test. Case dismissed on motion of attorney — officer failed to appear on served subpoena.
Devin T. Williams, 18, charged with disorderly conduct — failure to comply with officer. Case remanded to files on motion of prosecutor and consent of court to be released.
