Baseball brief: Vidalia tops Montery

MONTEREY — Vidala High School rose a strong pitching performance by Nathan Bozeman to a 6-3 win against Monterey High School Saturday in the Monterey Tournament.
Bozeman went seven innings for the Vikings to secure the win, giving up three runs, one earned, on five hits. He also had two walks and four strikeouts.
Monterey’s Hunter Fry took the loss.
Matt Souderes, Roper Craft and Jamale Davis all had doubles for Vidalia. Souderes finished the game going 4-for-4, and Craft was 2-for-2 at the plate.
Vidalia (3-1) will host Harrisonburg Monday.
