Narcotics raids house, makes two arrests

VIDALIA &8212; The Concordia Parish Narcotics Task Force raided a house in Ferriday Friday morning, arresting two people and seizing drugs, cash and firearms.
Task force officers went to 107 Virginia Ave. to serve a search warrant on Lawrence Gardner, 29.
They found one pound of marijuana packaged in 16 one-ounce bags, crack cocaine and dozens of ecstasy pills, reports said.
Gardner and a partner, Robin T. McCastle, 21, of the same address, were arrested without resistance.
Officers found a semi-automatic pistol, ammunition, drug paraphernalia and $2,817 in cash, all but $25 of it was on Garnder&8217;s person, officials said.
Gardner, a convicted felon, was charged with 11 counts relating to the gun and drugs, including possession of ecstasy in a school zone.
McCastle was charged with three counts, each for possession of the three drugs with intent to distribute.
