FERRIDAY — Services for James Andrew “Cowboy” Bachus, 73, of Ferriday, who died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2012, at his residence, will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Concordia Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Cade officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
A second service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mark Baptist Church, South Lauderdale Avenue in Memphis, Tenn., with the Rev. J.C. Bachus officiating.
Burial will follow at Forest Hill Irene Cemetery in Collierville, Tenn.
Arrangements are under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mr. Bachus was born in Hernando, the son of Eddie and Leona Eason Bachus. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Dorsey Bachus; one son, Maurice Bachus and wife, Sandra, of Ferriday; two daughters, Marcia Bachus of Waterproof and Debby Cooper and husband, Reginald, of Memphis; three brothers, the Rev. C.L. Bachus of Kansas City, Mo., the Rev. J.C. Bachus of Memphis and Herman Bachus of Madison, Wis.; two sisters, Rosie M. Mosby and Lucille Smith, both of Memphis; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to a charity of choice.
