NATCHEZ — Services for Ella Louise “Nen” King, 98, of Natchez, who died Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Sinai Baptist Church in Sibley with the Rev. James Brooks officiating.

Burial will follow at St. Mark Baptist Church Cemetery in Kingston under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Sister Ella Louise “Nen” King was born Dec. 22, 1913, in Adams County, the daughter of Robert King and Sarah Harris King. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mark Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Surget Washington; two sisters, Plaris Turner and Beatrice Edwards; one niece, Elizabeth Doss; and one nephew, Willie Edwards.

Survivors include a devoted son, Donald Ray Bassett and a loving daughter-in-law, Gail G. Bassett; three grandchildren, Lance Bassett, Jerrod Bassett and Yazmyne Bassett; two great-grandchildren, Paris Chatman and Jayla Bassett; stepmother, Lou Stella King, all of Natchez; three nieces, Edith Jackson and husband, Eddie, Edna McCoy and husband, LeeGeorge. and Mary Cameron, all of Natchez; four nephews, Willie Turner and wife, Pat, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Earl Turner and Luther Knight and wife, Alfredia, all of Natchez, and Robert King and wife, Julie, of Atlanta; three special great-nieces, Edith Burns and Latasha Yearby, both of Ferriday, and Kimberly Burns of Atlanta; and a number of great-nieces and nephews.
