NATCHEZ &8212; The clerk of a U.S. 61 South gas station was treated and released at a hospital Wednesday night after the store was robbed.

Tequilla Wilson received minor injuries after being struck in the face when two black males entered Kaiser&8217;s Food and Fuel around 9 p.m.

Natchez Police Chief Mike Mullins said the two men took a small amount of cash from the register drawer and left the store running north. They got into a light blue Chrysler New Yorker, a smaller 1980s model with a dark blue top.

Police are investigating the crime as an armed robbery, and looking for both suspects.

One of the men was wearing a camouflage shirt and black pants. The other had on blue jeans.

Mullins said police aren&8217;t sure which direction the car went after the men got in.

Wilson was transported from the scene by ambulance.

The gas station closed for the rest of the night and owners and managers were called in.

The armed robbery is the second in a week&8217;s time. Police are also investigating the robbery of an East Franklin Street gas station on Friday night.

At around 10 p.m. a black, slender male dressed in all black walked into the Shell gas station at 29 East Franklin St. and pulled a gun on the cashier. He demanded all the money in the register and ran out with an estimated $200, Natchez Police Public Relations Officer Charles Woods said.

He got into a dark colored General Motors vehicle, possibly a Buick or Oldsmobile with dark tinted windows and sped off in the direction of D&8217;Evereux Drive, police reports say.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the armed robbery. Anyone with information on Friday night or Wednesday night&8217;s robberies is asked to call 601-442-5000 or 1-88-442-5001. Calls can be anonymous.
