WALDRON, Ark. — Services for Marilyn Ruth Bishop Emfinger, 61, of Ozark, Ark., who went to the Lord Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, during her sleep, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Waldron, Ark.

Burial will follow at Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Martin Funeral Home in Waldron, Ark.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday at the church.

Mrs. Emfinger was born Feb. 22, 1951, in Natchez, the daughter of Chesley Bishop and Lorene Gibbs Bishop. She was one of four sisters.

Marilyn was always heavily involved in church and helping others. She was loved by all that knew her. She was firm in her beliefs and shared her joy with all that she encountered. She was a loving mother, wife and sister.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Josephine Bishop Garrison.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald Emfinger; one son, Brian Emfinger and wife, Jennifer; two sisters, Linda Bishop Bates of Natchez and Marie Bishop Woodruff of Goose Creek, S.C.; two nephews, Shaun Garrison and John Bates; four nieces, Melissa Garrison Hamby, Angela Woodruff, Kimberly Woodruff Reese and Martha Bates; five great-nephews; and four great-nieces.

Pallbearers will be George Bates, Kenneth Woodruff, Chesley Alan Hamby, Nick Hamby and Shaun Garrison.
