GILBERT, La. — Services for Marjorie Maxine Boyd, 88, of Gilbert, La., who died Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at Mary Anna Nursing Home in Wisner, La., will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at South Central Baptist Church with the Rev. T.J. Boyd and the Rev. Leland Boyd officiating.

Burial will follow at church cemetery under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro, La.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the church.

Mrs. Boyd was born Jan. 6, 1924, in Red Gum, La., the daughter of Thomas Isadore and Mary Lucretia Burns Honeycutt. She was a homemaker and a member of South Central Baptist Church.

Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Earcel Milton Boyd Jr.

Survivors include one daughter, Lili Lucretia Nettles and husband, Percy, of Gilbert; five sons, Earcel “Sonny” Boyd Jr. and wife, Cametta, of Portland, Ore., Shelby Boyd and wife, Pat, of Castor, La., who are currently serving as missionaries in Mexico, Leland Boyd and wife, Judy, of Flower Mound, Texas, T.J. Boyd and wife, Sandra, of Quitman, Texas and Benjamin Boyd and wife, Sandy, of Hessmer, La.; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chad Nettles, Chris Boyd, David Nash, John Moroni, Leland Boyd, Lucas Moroni and Thomas Boyd II.
