Local officials, marshals arrest fugitive

NATCHEZ &8212; Days of investigations and 72 nonstop hours of work by local authorities and U.S. Marshals led to the Jan. 27 arrest of a federal fugitive in Adams County.
Corey Good, 24, was arrested on a federal warrant for drug charges. Good has been a fugitive since 2004 from another state. Local authorities got word last month that Good was in Natchez.
Marshals, Adams County Sheriff&8217;s deputies, Natchez Police officers and Metro Narcotics agents made the arrest at No. 1 Bishop St.
&8220;The house was being used to manufacture crack cocaine,&8221; Metro&8217;s Cmdr. Cliff Cox said. &8220;It was a known drug house.&8221;
There was a struggle over a gun in the house once officers arrived, but no one was injured.
Antonio Dawson, 23, was also arrested on charges of misdemeanor possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine and felony possession of promethazine and codeine.
Good has been transported to a federal correctional institute. Cox said there are reports Good was in and out of Natchez in the last several years.
