DOLOROSO — Service for Nathaniel Cory Sr., 96, of Chicago, formerly of Woodville, who died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2012, at Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Free Spring Baptist in Doloroso with the Rev. George Norflin officiating.

Burial will follow at Mariah Cory Family Cemetery in Doloroso under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Cory was born Sept. 15, 1915, in Woodville, the son of Louis Wells and Mariah Cory. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include one son, Nathaniel Cory Jr.; one daughter-in-law, Robin Cory; one sister, Leola McCullar, all of Woodville; one brother, David Sims of Vidalia; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
