VIDALIA — Services for Nancy Amox Halford, 61, of Vidalia, who died Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at Plaquemine Caring Center, will be at 2 p.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Vann Windom officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Mrs. Halford was born Nov. 19, 1950, in McAllen, Texas, the daughter of Glen Clifton Amox and Helen Jennette Amox.
Mrs. Halford was a homemaker, a member of the Baptist faith and an avid animal lover.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Nikko Lynn Beach; one sister, Glenis Amox; and two brothers, Harlan Amox and Dale Amox.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Kenneth Halford; one daughter, Kency Heline Halford and significant other, Phillip Mardis, of Monroe, La.; one son, Chad Ray Beach and wife, Alicia, of Vidalia; one brother, Jim Amox and wife, CeCe, of Houston, Texas; one sister, Gayle Cowan of Vidalia; two grandsons, Casen Ellis Beach and Cameron Cox; her mother-in-law, Walterine Halford of Roxie; five sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; six nieces; 12 nephews; a special friend, Lisa Wallace of Natchez; one godson, Kameron Berryhill of Natchez; a number of other special friends, relatives and loved ones; and two cats and one dog..
The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Plaquemine Caring Center for taking care of Mrs. Halford during the last six months of her life. The staff’s cooperation and communication has been not only a blessing but greatly appreciated. The family would also like to thank staff members of all the hospitals Mrs. Halford visited over the years, including Natchez Regional Medical Center, University of Mississippi Medical Center, Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and Baton Rouge General Medical Center.
Pallbearers will be Gary Schaiffer, Darrell Halford, Colby Beach, Mickey Beach, Jyles Lee and Francis Hutchins.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Stuckey, Darren Halford and Javy Watts.
