NATCHEZ — Tonight, Copiah-Lincoln Community College Natchez Campus will host the National Weather Service’s free Storm Spotters Course.
At the Tom Reed Academic Center, Forecaster Ryan Keneke will teach people about cloud formations at 6 p.m.
Adams County Emergency Management Director Stan Owens said the course would teach people what type of cloud rotation to look for in spotting tornados, as well as other severe weather.
“It will prepare people, this is not a class where (we are) encouraging people to get out and endanger themselves,” Owens said. “You will know how to be able to spot (severe weather) and take cover.”
Owens said this is the third time this free course has been offered to the area, and it lasts a little over an hour.
