VIDALIA &8212; The motorcoach contingent that visited the area three years ago enjoyed their stay so much, they decided to come back.

Foretravel Mid-South Regional President Cleo Dunlap said it was a group decision, but one he was thrilled about.

&8220;I&8217;m a history buff, and there&8217;s a lot of that here,&8221; he said. &8220;And the climate is so nice this time of year.&8221;

The group will be in town until Sunday. Activities include home tours, dining, dancing, even a one-hour business meeting on Saturday morning.

That&8217;s music to Natchez Tourism Director Walter Tipton&8217;s ears.

Tipton knows the extra hundred-plus travelers will add to pilgrimage and shop receipts.

He said the conference was also an example of both sides of the river benefiting from tourism.

&8220;Having an RV park on the Mississippi River is a great venue and we want to take advantage of that,&8221; he said.

&8220;These people will spend 70 percent of their time and 70 percent of their money in Vidalia. I&8217;d say it&8217;s a win-win.&8221;

And, if all 54 of them stop for gas on their way out of town, the Miss-Lou could be facing its second, though this time temporary, fuel shortage since

Hurricane Katrina.
