Week of Jan. 20-26:
Charles Davis Jr. charged with possession of a controlled substance. Case bound over to a grand jury.
Carlos Owens charged with possession of a controlled substance. Case bound over to a grand jury.
Daryl McGee charged with possession of a counterfeit substance — case bound over to a grand jury. Also charged with sale of a controlled substance — case bound over to a grand jury.
Kathy Belton guilty of trespassing less than larceny. Must pay a $227.00 fine.
Kenneth Brown charged with grand larceny. Case bound over to a grand jury.
Christopher Cockerham charged with grand larceny. Case bound over to a grand jury.
Terry Lynn Huff guilty of willful trespassing. Must serve 30 days jail time.
Kanisha Hayes guilty of simple assault. Sentenced to five days jail time suspended and one year probation.
Jimmy Molphus guilty of simple assault — domestic violence.
Shameka Reed guilty of simple assault — domestic violence.

Friday, Jan. 20:
Charles Thompson, 58, pleaded guilty to public drunkenness. Sentenced to 10 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $294.
Kevin Mark Brien, 40, charged with trespassing. Case remanded to files.
John S. Dillard, 27, pleaded guilty to simple assault. Sentenced to 30 days with 29 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 24 hours in jail. Fine set at $494.
Sixteen-year-old pleaded guilty to simple assault. Sentenced to 30 days with 29 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 24 hours in jail. Fine set at $494.
Richard T. Norman III, 19, pleaded guilty to simple assault. Sentenced to 30 days with 29 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 24 hours in jail. Fine set at $494.
Joseph M. Smith, 24, pleaded guilty to simple assault. Sentenced to 30 days with 29 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 24 hours in jail. Fine set at $494.
Lee Jackson Jr., 18, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $344.
Monday, Jan. 23:
Kennon Bradley Ashley, 35, pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident. Sentenced to 10 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $294.
Tuesday, Jan. 24:
Matilda Anders, 37, charged with speeding (59 in a 45 mph zone). Fine set at $123. Satisfied with time served. Anders was also charged with having an expired driver’s license. Fine set at $123. Satisfied with time served. In addition, Anders was charged with DUS — revoked or suspended. Fine set at $425. Satisfied with time served. Finally, Anders was charged with failure to maintain insurance proof in vehicle. Fine set at $564. Applied $87 as satisfied. To pay a fine of $477.
Nicholas Letcher, 33, charged with shoplifting — over $500 (felony). Bond of $7,500 reduced to $5,000. Out on bond.
Sandra Yvonne Cook, 41, charged with embezzlement more than $500/felony. Case dismissed.
Susan Carol Hinson, 41, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor shoplifting. Sentenced to 90 days with 85 days suspended for two years pending good behavior. To serve five days in jail. To complete drug court. Banned from Kmart. Fine set at $750.
Parnell McBride, 25, charged with armed robbery. Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury.
Douglas William Rogers, 63, charged with disturbing the peace. Case remanded to files together with felony arson for mental health issue. Rogers was also charged with petit larceny. Case remanded to files together with felony arson for mental health issue.
Jason D. Roy, 25, pleaded guilty to willful trespassing. Fine set at $294 minus $200 credit. Must pay a fine of $94. Roy was also charged with petit larceny. Case dismissed — nothing was actually taken.

Charles Williams pleaded guilty to possession of drugs. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Driver’s license suspended for six months. Fine set at $434.
