Leo Hunt, 53, was driving an unloaded flatbed truck when he collided with Todd Braddock, 34, driving an unloaded Werner truck, Highway Patrol Public Relations Director Rusty Boyd said.

Boyd said Braddock was entering the intersection of U.S. 61 and U.S. 84 headed northbound on U.S. 61, when he collided with Hunt driving westbound on U.S. 84.

Braddock went to Community Hospital and Hunt went to Natchez Regional Hospital, both complaining of pain, Boyd said. Both men said they were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

A fuel spill occurred from the trucks collision that left 50 to 60 gallons of diesel fuel and 5 to 10 gallons of oil on the highway, Boyd said.

The wreck causing &8220;substantial damage&8221; to both trucks happened at 1:04 p.m. and the cause is still under investigation.

MDOT handled the spill by covering the spill with sand and sweeping the area, Boyd said.
