Ella Mae Harbor
Feb. 4, 1923 &8212; June 8, 2006 WILDSVILLE &8212; Services for Ella Mae Harbor, 83, of Ferriday,, who died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Old Daughters Baptist Church in Wildsville with Pastor Joe Pickett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Ms. Harbor was born Feb. 4, 1923, in Ferriday, the daughter of John and Linnie Williams Woods. She was a retired nurse&8217;s aid and a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Natchez. Survivors include five sons, Charles Harbor and wife, Pamela, Larry D. Woods of Wildsville, Curtis Harbor of Jonesville, La., George R. Harbor of Garland, Texas and Earl R. Woods of Inglewood, Calif.; four daughters, Erma L. Myles and husband, Charlie of Wildsville, Opehlia Hatten and husband, Joe Henry, Wilma M. Wood and Leta M. Harbor, all of Detroit, Mich.; 35 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
William Oran Fitt
Jan. 2, 1963 &8212; June 12, 2006 FERRIDAY &8212; Services for William Oran Fitt, 43, of Ferriday, who died Monday, June 12, 2006, in Ferriday, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Comer Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with the Rev. Cecil Grantham officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Natchez under the direction of Comer Funeral Home. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Fitt was born Jan. 2, 1963, in Ferriday, the son of William J. and Allie O. Fitt. He was a life-long resident of Ferriday, was of the Baptist faith and was an oil field worker. Mr. Fitt was preceded in death by his father, William J. Fitt and a brother, Frank J. Fitt. Survivors include his mother, Allie O. Fitt of Ferriday; son, Shawn Johnese of San Augustine, Texas; two brothers, Michael Fitt and Kenny Fitt, both of Hattiesburg; two sisters, Lisa Smith of Vidalia, Peggy Fitt of Sugarland, Texas and Mary Pool of Abbeville, La.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Dec. 20, 1924 &8212; June 13, 2006 FRANKLIN COUNTY &8212; Services for Mrs. Johnnie Lee Cothren, 81, of Meadville, who died Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at Franklin County Memorial Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Pilgrims Rest Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home. Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the church. Mrs. Cothern was born Dec. 20, 1924, the daughter of Cayce Wilkinson and Mollie Raner Wilkinson.
