NATCHEZ &8212; Troy Aikman, Harry Carson, John Madden, Warren Moon and Natchez High School head football coach Lance Reed have something in common.

They will all be going to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Ohio, next week.

While the previous four, along with the late Reggie White, will be inducted into the hall, Reed was invited, along with 50 other high school coaches, to come share knowledge of the game with other coaches.

&8220;To be honest, I can&8217;t even remember what I did to get my name in the hat,&8221; Reed said. &8220;I signed up, and I was blessed to have the opportunity to go up there.&8221;

Reed, the rest of the high school coaches from each state as well as the District of Columbia and more than 100 other youth football coaches and supporters will be on hand for educational seminars on Aug. 3-4.

Reed said he looked forward to getting the opportunity to pick the brains of so many football minds.

&8220;Any time you get a chance to get around that many people that know football, you take it,&8221; he said. &8220;I&8217;m definitely going to go up there to learn some new things. Anything I can learn will be good for Natchez High School, because I feel like I can definitely learn something to help us this season.&8221;

Coaches attending the workshop will also get to meet outgoing NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue, who will host a banquet for the coaches as one of his final duties.

&8220;I don&8217;t know about (what I&8217;d say to Tagliabue),&8221; he said. &8220;I&8217;m excited to get to meet him, but I&8217;m more excited to see what I can do to help this football team.&8221;
