Have you heard of numerology? If you have, count yourself among the relatively few despite the fact that it has been around for over 11,000 years. Without value, it would have disappeared into the mists of time long ago.
But what is it? If “ology” means the “study of,” then obviously, numerology is the study of numers — or numbers. Actually, it is the study of the hidden side of these digits 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0 which we have seen all of our lives.
Encoded in your full name at birth and birthday is the blueprint of your life. Surprisingly insightful, numerology is a code that allows you to recognize the beauty of your path.
It provides a new framework with which to see yourself with more acceptance, harmony and balance. Numerology points out your special talents and abilities and explains the timing of your personal cycles, which aids with setting goals or making changes. It can be used to view the pitfalls inherent in your life plan and explains your special abilities to handle them.
Numbers reflect a divine order in the universe. The brilliant Greek philosopher Pythagoras believed the universe began with numbers and taught that the entire universe was a proportion or number. Numbers were considered sacred until around 1670 AD when life got complicated enough that numbers became practical tools to be used in commerce and mankind’s daily affairs. At that time, secret societies and mystery schools took numerology “underground” where it stayed until fairly recently.
The most commonly used system of numerology in the Western world is called Pythagorean. It brings ancient wisdom into modern times. In today’s world of crisis, uncertainty and change, while people are living longer than ever before, they are also seeking answers in places never previously considered. Systems such as numerology are available to offer encouragement, support and comfort.
No one is ever is too old to benefit from having a better understanding his/her life.
