Two men arrested on drug charges

FERRIDAY — Two men were arrested Monday after they were allegedly found to have drugs, shotguns and supplies for creating a methamphetamine laboratory.
Following a 12:41 p.m. traffic stop on Louisiana 568 by a Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy Monday, Benjamin Huff Jr., 916 Airport Road, Vidalia, and Luke A. Ogden, 24, 53 Seale Road, Natchez, were arrested after deputies found suspected crystal methamphetamine and numerous items used in the creation of clandestine methamphetamine labs in the vehicle, according to CPSO Public Information Officer Kathleen Stevens.
Two shotguns were also discovered in the vehicle, Stevens said.
Huff, the driver of the vehicle, was charged with a general speed law violation, resisting an officer, obstruction of justice, possession of schedule II substance, possession of schedule IV substance, creation or possession of clandestine lab, carrying of weapons while in possession of controlled dangerous substance and convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
Ogden, the passenger, was charged with possession of schedule II substance, possession of schedule IV substance, creation and operation of a clandestine lab and carrying of weapons while in possession of controlled dangerous substance.
Both men were detained without bond Tuesday.
